Under The Oak, At The Feet Of The Christ

The Lord appeared to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day.   Genesis 18

Sitting beneath the Oak of Hebron,

Tree of wisdom,

Tree as old as the world,

Abraham

A man of God

Meditates,

Shaded by the great boughs

Of the Tree of Life,

From the hot desert sun;

Breathing in,

Three angels appear;

Breathing out,

A welcome prepared;

Breathing in,

Three become one;

Breathing out,

God’s promise spoken…

Through the greatness of your mercy, I will come into your house. Lord, who may dwell in your tabernacle?  Who may rest upon your holy hill?

…Whoever…speaks the truth from the heart…                                             Psalm 15

~ Breathe ~

Touching earth with naked feet,

Gently I walk,

In the evening, in the morning,

Slowly ascending,

Healing steps,

Feet healing earth,

Earth healing feet,

And the breeze

And the birds

And the leaves on the trees

Are whispering and singing,

“The holy place is within you;

Go there in peace;

The One you are looking for,

Waits for you there…”

Now as they went on their way, he entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying.                                                  Luke 10

She knows the Way,

She who sits at the feet

Of the Healer;

Quietly she sits,

Listening,

Listening;

Listen with her now,

Sitting,

Listening,

At the feet

Of the Healer…

For in him all the fullness of God is pleased to dwell, and through him God is pleased to reconcile to Godself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross…which is the Christ in you…                      Colossians 1

At the feet of the Healer,

I behold my own suffering,

No longer diverting,

No more will I run;

Right here,

In the wound herself,

A stream of Living Water

Is bubbling up,

“Drink of me,” she says,

“I Am The I Am,

I Am in You,

And You are in me…”
